Welcome to AERO's Alternative Education Alumni Database.
What is the AERO, and what is this Database?
We invite you to sign up on this website to keep in touch with the Alternative Education movement. AERO is the number one networking hub of educational alternatives on the planet (See the main website at http://edrev.org). Signing up here allows you to keep in touch with your former school, and former classmates. But more importantly, signing up allows you to keep connected to the Alternative Education movement - whether you are in Russia, Israel, the United States, or Central America.
How Do I Post a Blog Entry or Make a Comment?
After you have created an account, you will be able to create Blog entries or Forum topics: just click "Create content" in the left menu. You will also be able to comment on any other blog or post once you have registered.
How Do I Register as an Alumnus?
When you have created an account and signed in, you will also be able to register as an alumni of your schools. To do so, click "School Directory" then search for your school by name. When you have found it, click "join".
How Do I Add Another School Not Present in the Database?
If your school is still in existence, please check whether it exists in the AERO's http://educationfinder.net school-finder database. If it does not exist in that database, follow the instructions for how to add the school at http://educationfinder.net, then notify AERO to have the school exported to this Alumni Database by sending an email to contact@alternativealumni.com. If your school is no longer in existence, please submit the school directly here.

What is the software? Who is the programmer?
This site is built using Drupal - an open-source CMS (content management system). It uses the organic groups module and was customized by Peter Christopher's Palma Search Engine Optimization with a data import from AERO's Alternative School Finder educationfinder.net.
